Born and raised in Toms River, NJ. Under the guidance of former 13-year Major League Baseball player Mark Leiter, learned all the ins and outs of pitching. In 2011 was comeback player of the year, and pitcher of the year in 2012 for the Toms River Highschool North varsity baseball team. Was selected to the 2012 Shore Conference All Star team. Went on to pitch in Division II baseball for Pace University. As a freshman went 2-0 with 37 innings pitched posting a 1.45 ERA. Was a key player leading Pace to their 2013 NE-10 regular season championship, and the teams first NCAA regional selection in 30 years. Plagued with injuries the remainder of his career at Pace, became a mentor to the younger players, and helped Pace to another NE-10 regular season championship in 2016 as key bullpen pitcher. After college he furthered his pitching and overall baseball knowledge learning cutting edge techniques from sources such as Driveline, and the National Pitching Association.
